December Glossybox

My December Glossybox arrived yesterday amistd a pile of cards and presents that are arriving daily now. (not presents for me of course, presents ive ordered for other people and still need to wrap) Its has been quite a good box i think.

It came in this lovely stylish silver box which i thought was nice as i was worrying it woud be a gaudy red and green thing.

This was the little book that came with it which i thought just looked quite pretty so id put a photo in.

I didnt want to show off this whole page encase i was reaking rules or something but you got a nice list of discound codes of things including Nuxe, Monu, Caudalie and HD Brows.

Lemon by Mary Greenwell Eau de Parfum. Mary Greewell is a British makeup artish with a loyal following of celebrity clients. This is her second fragrance, her first being Plum which was released last year. This is a nice light fragrance which i think i might keep for summer as i like heavier scents during winter.  This retails for £90 quid for 100ml so its a nice wee addition.

Sleep True colour Lipstick Amped in a Matte finish. Now i really like this lipstick, its lovely and soft and creamy and the colour payoff is really great, its a very vibrant pink quite like a very bright MAC Rebel in the type of pink. I just dont like that its a sleek product, its not luxury or highend, infact its low budget drugstore. And its barely a full size lipstick. This retails for £4.99 in store.

Seche Nail Laquer 14ml in Lumiere. I love these polishes and the brand is great. These retail for £9.95 which basically pays for the box. I would be prasing glossybox to the heavens if not for one thing. The colour is dreadfull. Actually disgusting old fashioned yellow pearled pink thing. Even after 4 coats is was still translucent and icky. but ill stop complaining now.

Rituals Magic touch. This is a whipped body cream that is cherry blossom and rice milk. This smells lovely, like johnsons baby range with a slightly floraly smell. This 70ml version is £5.

SebaMed Antidry Night intensive cream. This is only a 10ml sample and i think they could have given a slightly bigger one. This is £9.99 for 50ml. Ive not tried this yet as i really don't need an anti-dry cream so i might stick this is someones stocking.

And Glossybox also popped in a little blusher of there own make in the shade glossy Rosewood but im not expecting too much from is after their lipstick.

And thats it for Glossygox this year. ...Or is it!!!!

Ive ordered their latest speciality box for my mum from christmas so ill get to see whats in that anyway hehe :D

Fragrance Direct Haul ... and a BIG SECRET. :D

 So my mini shopping spree from fragrance direct has finally arrived after having be sent to the post office because i missed my postman by 5 minuets haha.
I was a bit upset that by the time i got a chance to check out the Essie polishes there was not too many left. And i made a massive mistake in my Sally Hansen polishes.

As you can see the mistake i made was when i clicked the wrong button and bought 'Grass Slipper' by accident haha. i meant to get a kind of blue shade but hey ho maybe ill find a use for grass green.

 The Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure were only £1.49 each. I got these in 'Grass Slipper' and 'Angel Wings'. Angel wings is a truly beautiful shade. It looks great on its own and as a shimmery top coat.

 These Essie polishes were only £1.99 each. I got them in 'Brooch the subject (773)' and 'Vanity Fairest (9). Both lovely colours that give you good colour in one to two coats. Vanity fairest comes with the new larger brush and brooch the subject still has the old one. I definitely prefer the new style brushes.

Yesterday i got a set of acrylic french nails done so this is the only way i can get you the swatches. My camera is still dead to sorry for the terrible pic, grass slipper is actually much more grassy in colour and the pale shades are much brighter and have more depth of colour to them.

I'm not going to say much about this because i think the photo below says it all. I got this on a whim to try it as it was reduced from £9.99 to £3.50 and i don't know what i should do with it as it just clumps and is all horrible and yucky. I don't know if it just doesn't work with my skin type or what but its just not working for me. 

  This was only with a tiny bit as well. Wont be using this.

Last but not least is this SachaJuan SPF Conditioner. I have been SO excited to try this brand, especially this conditioner. Having read such great reviews about it i just needed to have a go and seeing it reduced from £20 to £6.99? I couldn't help myself from getting it, not tried it yet though.

So that's the end of this blog, sorry it was a bit rushed but ill be explaining why VERY soon in its own blog but ill give you a few hints.

Percy & Reed - Volumising No Oil Oil

Percy & Reed is a brand i have wanted to try to absolutely ages but i just never bought any. I tend to spend less on my hair products and more on skin so this was a bit of a splurge for me. So why did i finally take the plunge and part with my pennies? Well i was on the Selfridges website to get the limited edition Pink bubbly Vaseline (i know im a bit late but i think ill do a post on that in a few days because im in love) and i saw this no oil oil and thought to myself ...wtf? :S

Ive heard of dry oils, but an oil thats not an oil. Needless to say the Percy and Reed packaging paired with my curiosity were a combination i couldnt fight. This comes it two types. One for thick hair and one for thin. I got the thin hair one not because my hair is very thin but because it gets oily very easily with products.

Ive got to say, when i first took this out the packaging it was a tad disappointing. At £14 (from Selfridges) i know its not too expensive, but with the price and the packaging quality i had thought the bottle would be glass. Or at least a hard plastic! Alas its not, its a quite squidgy plastic. I suppose it doesn't really matter too much because as soon as i tried this product i didnt care if it came in a plastic bag.

It has quite a sharp smell. Citrus-y but a bit chemically as well. I think this might be one of those products that people either love the smell of, Happily I love it. Its consistency is gel like but quite runny.

Ive used the past 3 times i've washed my hair. I did the usual shampooing and conditioning and then towel dried my hair. It says you only need 1-2 drops but i found i needed at least 3 to properly distribute through my hair. Its recomended that you warm the oil in your hand and run a large brush over it in your hand and then brush it through your hair from the brush but i didnt do this. I just rubbed it between my hands to warm and rubbed in through my hair with my hands. I would think if you did it with the brush most of the product would just stay on your hand no?
Before i even noticed an effect on my hair i noticed it did on my hands. It really isnt oily at all and the excess soaked right into my hands and felt really soft. ...not sure if its too good for my hands but i like. haha.
I opted to not put anything else in my hair, just so i could see how well it actually worked. (Except my heat protection when i straightened it after it dried naturally). I have to say im impressed. My hair was very sleek and soft with barely any flyaways, its lovely. Considering how little product i had in my hair it felt like it had good weight to it too. I think im truely sold on this product. Im not to sure how much volume this actually gave my hair, which is a bit odd considering thats one of its main purposes. But i love this for its smoothing properties and smell so much im just going to continue using it but put a bit of moose in as well.

This has actually gave me a bit of a dilemma as im usually an avid argan oil girl as it makes your hair feel soft and sleek but also nourishes it and im not sure the no oil oil is quite as nourishing, but i love it soooo much. Maybe ill just do them turn about.

Has anyone tried the brush in method of this? how did you find it?
