MAC Glamour Daze - Holiday Colour

So i may have went a little crazy in MAC (once again) and purchased a few things from their new Christmas collection. I love all of them even if i'm not sure when/how ill use some of them. First off, the "Limited Edition Glamour Daze Packaging" Naw hen. I don't want shiny plastic mac, i like my normal MAC thank you very much, it looks so cheap and tacky, lucky enough whats inside more than makes up for it.

Fluidline Eye-Liner Gel - Catch My Eye  £15.50.

What MAC say "Ultra-smooth, Fluidline's gel formula provides the precision of a liquid liner with a silkier, softer finish. Goes on foolproof with a brush in an easy dip-and-stroke action. Long-wearing. Smudge-proof. Lines up in a rich array of colours and finishes. Brush sold separately. Limited-edition Glamour Daze packaging."
This one still had the normal MAC packaging for some reason but im not complaining.

Look at that colour, its quite hard to describe its a grey/brown colour but with the most intense gold shimmer through it. Its going to look amazing on your eyes in winter subtle but sexy. haha

This is the best picture i could get but it doesn't do it any justice. I love to wear this as an eyeliner and then blend out over the lid a little bit :) Its long lasting and good quality like the usual MAC products.

MAC Amplified Lipstick in Dramatic Encounter £15.50

MAC says "Colour plus texture for the lips. Stands out on the runway. Simmers on the street. What made M∙A∙C famous. Limited-edition Glamour Daze packaging."

Now look at that shiny thing there. Wheres the usual sleek MAC packaging, i am not liking it one little bit.
This colour comes out a lot darker than it looks in the bullet which is odd as its usually the other way around. This is described as a deep perple and its pretty accurate. Im all about dark lips at the moment and the fact that this is a great colour and has MAC staying power make it a big win.

Excuse my ridiculously hairy arm there but look at that colour! Its actually even darker on my lips because i have naturally quite dark lips. Also just a thought, how good do MAC lipsticks smell? They are amazing!

Extra Dimention Skinfinish - Whisper of gilt £21.50

What MAC say
"A liquid-powder highlighter with prismatic reflections that sculpts, highlights and models the face. The cool, creamy near-fluid formula creates a luminous, well-defined finish. Wears 10 hours. Limited-edition Glamour Daze packaging."

This is now actually sold out online, im not sure if its available anywhere else. This is the one that im not too sure when ill use it but it was too pretty not too buy. I think its a little too gold to use as an effective highlighter during the day but and night it'll look great.

The bottom picture gives the most true likeness swatch. The first stripe is swatched fairly heavily and the second one is blended out. Its so so so pretty. I actually wore this as an eye shadow a few nights ago for a bit of pop. It last a long time as well just as you would expect.

What have you been snapping up from the new MAC collection?

October Favourites

I have been using so many products this past month that i really had a hard time choosing a few to put in this so there is a fair few to get through.

Stila oil free tinted moisturizer.
This is a product i got on extra-cosmetics for £1.99!!! Thats right £1.99!!!! I actually ended up putting in an order for three more after trying it for a while. This leaves me looking like im not wearing anything at all while still giving me fairly good coverage. It keeps my oily skin fairly well checked and it doesn't cake. The colour range is great and this one is perfect for my skin tone. Im not saying there is really anything amazing about this product but its just a good tinted moisturised, It does what it should and it does it well.

Daniel Sandle Water colour Blush.
This stays on FOREVER. It honestly doesn't wear off untill you take it off at night. Also because it is such a thin consistency it doesn't look like there is anything on your skin at all and oh so so natural. This colour is perfect for me when ive not got a full coverage of makeup on as its THE perfect pale pink.

Revlon Matte Wine Not 010.
This has not been off my lips this month. At all. Ive been wearing it to bed. Sleeping with it under my pillow. Ive named him Matt-e and we shall elope to Gretna together.  Seriously this is the perfect autumn/winter colour but i wouldn't care if it was beasting sunshine (unlikely given where i live) I would wear this in the middle of summer its JUST. THAT. PRETTY. It has amazing staying power, as long as your lips aren't cracked it doesn't dry them out.
Can you believe this has been discontinued?? I cried just a little when i heard (only joking, i was actually weeping into said pillow for days)  Im going to have to stock up on ebay.
So all in all, i sorta like this just a wee bit, its alright.

Clean State Mama Mio
Alright GlossyBox, having sent me this little gem here, you have earned my subscription forever regardless of what shite you put in the usual boxes. This is a godsend. Honestly the first time i used this i was all like Janice from Friends, i may actually have said it outloud. Im not going to say to much about this becuase im going to do a post on it but just go buy it, right now.

Benefit BadGirl Lash
For the days you don't want mega drama going on with your lashes this works a treat. It thenthens and separates to within an inch of its life and it holds all day and night (even through busy 12 hour shifts). It doesn't clump at all and it gives a good natural look which is all ive been wanting this month.

MoriccanOil - Moroccan Oil Treatment
Another Glossybox winner. This was from their first special one off box. Ive used a lot of argon oils (i might do a comparison, yay or nay?) but this is my favorite. It does smell a bit sickly sweet and look a little pale and when you put it on damp hair your a bit like meh at first, but oh my, when you dry it its crazy soft and silky. So soft and silky in fact you need to be careful about when you next wash it.

Soap & Glory - The Righteous Butter
Can you just smell it after hearing the name? Sometimes i like to just sit with the tub and just sniff away like a crazy glue addict. Its what i imagine heaven would smell like if i believed in it. Hands down best intensive moisturizer ive tried. I repurchase this often and ill continue to do so until im old and wrinkle-y.

So thats that folks sorry about the mega lateness and the big gap not posting but ive been on night shifts and my body clock has went to f***. But baby im back back back with posts all lined up.

What do you think of these products? Any differing opinions?

Best autum blush - Nars Maui

Now im sure no one really wears the same blush everyday, but through the seasons we all have a favorite, this just so happens to be mine :) Its so perfect for darker autumn and winter makeup, it is so easy to wear a plum lip with it :)

This is the Nars Multiple in the shade Maui. Nars multiple are sticks of makeup that can be used on the cheeks, eyes, lips and body, It's creamy and sheer but can be built very well. This retails on the Nars website for £29 and is available in 15 shades including the iconic Orgasm.

Maui is a plumy pink colour that has sheen but no shimmer.  It complements both pale and slightly tanned skin and looks oh so natural.
When i put this on as a blush in the morning if is still there at night, this has immense staying power. Granted i use a primer and setting spray but its still pretty impressive.

This is the colour pretty built up, the light really doesn't show its true colour too well, its truly lovely. Ive been wearing this most days at the moment because i've been rocking a very dark plum lip and this goes amazingly with it.

I'm very sorry about this pathetic attempt at a post but ive been on consecutive 12 hour shifts and then went straight to my engagement party after and now im a bit ill. I've got twp more posts coming up in the next few days so i promise they will be better :)

Clarins Hydra-Quench Cream mask

This was quite a spur of the moment purchase for me (especially for the price). I picked this up in Boots for £32 and found it that night on Ecsentual.com for £25.60. My skin was really dehydrated and i really needed something to work well at night but not be too heavy, i saw this was for dehydrated skin and just went for it.

Description from Clarins
An instant, quenching boost for even the most stressed out and dehydrated skin. The Clarins HydraQuench Cream-Mask intensively moisturises and revitalizes skin, in all climates, at all times. Lines are smoothed, and the skin is left feeling fresh, soft and comfortable with unrivalled radiance all day long.
Smooth into the face twice a week, and leave on for 5-10 minutes whilst the Cream-Mask gets to work. Remove lasting traces with a cotton pad dampened with toning lotion.
  • Hyaluronic acid helps maintain its moisture reserves
  • Katafray bark restructures skin's protective outermost layers, limits dehydration
  • Sobier tree bud stimulates radiance-boosting microcirculation
  • UVA/UVB filters, Vitamin E and E3P Complex protect against UV rays, free radicals and
  • pollution
  •

I tend to use this a little more than recommended as my skin really needs something to sort it out before it starts getting (ever more) wintery and cold. I use my clarasonic and a cleanser (at the moment im switching between Avene Eau Thermal Soap-less Gel (available here) and the REN Mayblossom balancing cleansing gel (available here) and once im through with that i dry my face and slather a layer of this on, i use just enough that you can see a little on the skin until it dries in. After about half an hour i put some toner on cotton wool and give my face a wee wipe then pop on some spot cream and moisturizer and hop into bed. In the morning my skin is lovely and soft and i have a lot less oil produced during the night than i used to. Throughout the day my skin also produces a lot less oil which means my makeup is actually staying on my face pretty well and not sliding off. Ive also been able to stop using powder throughout the day which leaves me looking caked my 5pm.

Im not claiming that this is some sort of miracle product, i have been taking a lot better care of my skin in general recently but this is definitely helping a lot. Ive been using it for about two and a half weeks now and so far it has a massive thumbs up.

Next time though i will be making extra sure i check the price everywhere before i buy (because i WILL be repurchasing).

What do you think about this if you've tried it?
Anything similar you would recommend?
